Online Submission

PHA uses an on-line system of manuscript tracking via Manuscript Central. With this on-line format, authors can log directly onto the site and upload their manuscripts following the instructions provided.

This fully automated system allows editors and reviewers to consult articles from anywhere at any time, and eases communication considerably for authors. Authors can follow the whole review process of their article online without contacting the Editorial Office.

A manuscript is not considered officially submitted until it has been uploaded on Manuscript Central. Authors with access to e-mail but not internet can provide the Editorial Office with an electronic version of their paper to be uploaded for them. Once manuscript submission is complete, the corresponding author will receive confirmation and decisions by e-mail directly from the system.

Manuscripts should conform to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals.

How to use Manuscript Central

If you are using Manuscript Central for the first time, click on New User to the right of the Log in box to register.

Click on "Get Help Now" to download the Author Quick Guide, and on Instructions & Forms to download the Instructions to Authors, the Submission Instructions, the Author Checklist and the mandatory Copyright form (also available below).

Before submission, authors should download the following forms to ensure that they have complied with requirements:

Once the submission process is complete and the article has been checked, the corresponding author will receive a request to log on again to submit an electronic copyright form directly on the website. In the event of acceptance, all authors will be required to submit a form online.
